The Opportunity

There are over 30 million Americans who are uninsured. The ACA has helped millions of Americans, but it is not for everyone, as the uninsured rate demonstrates. Furthermore, even insured Americans are finding less utility in their coverage, as deductibles are frequently in excess of the average person’s savings and ability to meet in a given year. Group health plans have traditionally provided better outcomes in terms of accessibility and affordability (premium subsidies notwithstanding), but not every business offers a best-fit plan or staffs as successfully as LDPs. General agencies are well positioned to help these people by recruiting them to LDPs where they can become eligible for a group health plan and where they can make extra money working for an LDP.
